Carthaginians and Romans is a festival celebrated in the city of Cartagena, in Spain in the camp, located next to the Estadio Cartagonova. For ten days during the second half of September you will find yourself in the middle of the Second Punic War. Hundreds of participants get dressed with customs of ancient roman soldiers and carthaginian warriors and recall a significant period of the history.
The event begins with the foundation of the city by the Carthaginian general and ends with the conquest of the city by the Romans. For ten “fighting” days, the streets are clashing with weapons, parades in costumes, music, dance and good street food. There is also a funfair for children and adults.
